Biography
When Julie Woods went blind in 1997, she thought her life had ended, little did she realise it had only just begun…
Known as That Blind Woman, Julie has since carved herself a career as an author, professional speaker and coach, telling her story and sharing the two small words that got her off the couch to adapt to her extraordinary change. Whether it’s been single blind parenting, walking every street in her home city of Dunedin NZ or visiting the Seven Wonders of the World, Julie has thrived amidst all the disruption.
There has been one experience that has stood out though, and that is refereeing nude touch rugby. She decided to combine that experience with the social model of Disability to create The Accessibility Game and would love to play it with you now…
